We require the design of a circuit that meets the following conditions for installation along a 20' length of pipe:
Given 2 LEDs, a red one and a green one mounted at the beginning of the pipe & 3 IR emitter/detector pairs (sensor 1, sensor 2, sensor 3) mounted along a 20' length of pipe will be that will detect the passage of on object. An object is inserted into the pipe and Sensor 1 changes the LED from green to red. If the object is moving fast enough, Sensor 2 will activate the green LED again, if not, it will wait until Sensor 3 tells the system that the object has exited the other end. System must be waterproof/resistant.
The green LED will be on by default. Once a ball is inserted into the pipe and detected by Sensor 1, the green LED will go off, and the RED one will come on, instructing no other objects to be inserted into the pipe.
