This project involves creating Markdown files, tagged according to our guidelines, from content supplied in Word format. We will supply tagging guidelines that include Markdown tags, Markdown Extra tags, and our own custom tags. This is a basic tagging job. If you are comfortable with tagging, can learn new tags quickly, and work efficiently and accurately, we have hundreds of pages for you to tag. We have approximately 1600 pages of work, dispersed among 13 Word documents ranging from 45 to 290 pages in length. (Job may be awarded to multiple applicants.) We will pay about $1.00 per Word page that you convert. **Please bid on 500 pages.** So for $1/page, bid $500 (or $550 to cover fees). Actual payments will be made for each document based on page count and agreed-upon rate. Attached to this job, you will find: ? A Sample Word File and a Sample Markdown File. The Word document was copied into a Markdown editor and tagged according to our guidelines. This document is exactly the kind of content you will be working with if hired. ? Tagging Guidelines that cover all the tags you should need to do this work. ? A short Markdown Tagging Test file that you MUST COMPLETE to apply. To apply: 1. Briefly state your experience with Markdown and your availability to complete 500-1000 pages of tagging within the next few weeks. (Job may be awarded to multiple applicants.) 2. Review the Guidelines document, and compare the two Sample files provided to see exactly what the work will entail. We have 13 more of these Word documents to convert to Markdown. 3. Open the Markdown Tagging Test file and create a new Markdown file from it, using your own Markdown editor, with tags added according to the Guidelines and Sample files. 4. Save your Markdown file as "MarkdownTest-YourName", and submit it with your job application. This brief test is the most important part of your application!
