I'm working on a new medical device concept and need some help with some basic thermodynamics calculations. I need help with the following:
How much current is required to cool a given volume of heart muscle tissue (myocardium) by 5 degrees Celcuis using a peltier cooling chip ( [obscured] /wiki/Thermoelectric_cooling)?
Here a couple other details:
Peltier cooling chip will only be on one side of volume of myocardium tissue
Tissue dimensions are 6 cm x 5 cm x 2 cm.
Cooling should be completed in 20-30 seconds
If you think you can help with these calculations, let me know. You will need to research the constants for myocardium.
