We are looking for a custom DOS based (ASM, C++ ?) program that will copy a hard drive (sector by sector) into another hard drive.
The source is going to be IDE-SATA, destination is going to be SATA.
The program will have to select the source and destination based on the port that the drive is plugged in the controller. We might use different controllers or might use the same controller for source and destination.
If the source or destination drive is not responding (bad drive) software will have to give a warning stating that the source AND/OR destination drive is not responding.
If the software encounters a bad/unreadable sector on the hard drive after trying to read for 1 seconds, source or destination, the software will have to stop any further operations and show a warning, stating that the source / destination drive , model, serial number, etc. has bad sectors and stop operations. The message has to be different if the source drive has bad sectors, or the destination.
