Hi, i have CYGWIN installed on my windows laptop, with RSYNC,SSH and SCP;
I can connect to my linux centos6 server, and i have created keys so that i dont have to enter password each time
Then i create an .SH file
and run it from the desktop with
D:\cygwin64\bin\bash.exe --login -i '/bin/Remote-Server-Backup.sh'
Inside the .SH file the objective is
- To create in linux computer a mysqldump backup of database and compress it in a ZIP and transfer that ZIP to the windows computer
- To create a compressed ZIP of a folder in linux computer and transfer it also to windows
I can do those things separately and they work,
but when i put them on .sh file i get strange things happening, like dots, "." are added at the end of names and things like that, something to do maybe with character set , platforms etc, my .SH looks more or less like this
