I have a date component based on the RX components DateEdit one. I want to have a few properties added. It must work in Delphi 7 AND 2009. I need this done quickly as I'm on a deadline.

I want it so that it can resemble a office 2003/2007 component as it currently looks more like an office 97 one. The component is similar to the RX one but has extra features ( Show/Hide Weekends etc). I need it to look much more modern and add properties.

The dropdown calendar has an optional checkbox that I use frequently. If checked I want to be able to change the text to a non date value like 'Use Latest' . This is part working but needs an afterDropdown event to trigger it.

DateEdit1.EditMask := '';
DateEdit1.Text := 'Earliest'

New Properties/Events:
1. Border colour - Change the border around the component & dropdown calendar

2. AfterDropdown event where I can change the Text displayed in the dateedit component.
