We need to develop a device that counts a signal from a BUS-System and displays a counter. The signal is a specific CAN-ID, 16 bytes long and with a frequency of 1 Hz. The signal broadcasts every second a number, which will be multiplied by a constant number, and added to the actual number in the display. Then, the display updates the number with the new calculation.
The device need to be as cheap as possible, but keep in mind that it need to be robust against errors.
The device powers on and off via the energy on the BUS system. If the BUS turns off (can happen at any time), the device need to keep the actual number. At the next power up, the number will be displayed and the counting continues until the next shut down.
