I need ideas on developing a profit sharing bonus plan for key employees of a 30 store restaurant chain. This will not be a qualified plan nor will it be a form of deferred compensation. Most probably it will be current compensation paid once per year. I am looking to put together a plan with as much flexibility as I can with as much discrimination among key employees as possible. It will reward key employees meeting specific criteria such as increased production in areas under their control.
I would welcome a report by anyone who has tackled this subject previously, and I would also be interested in information that is available on this subject specifically in the restaurant business.
