I need someone to help me with some advanced settings authoring my DVD. I'm using Final Cut Studio, DVD Pro and Compressor 3.0.
The videos are dance videos and have a LOT of movement and are shot in mostly low light. They were shot on a Sony EX-1 and look very good in HD, but when we compress them to the best compression for 90 minutes in Compressor and then author them on DVD Pro, a lot of artifacts pop in. I believe this is because of the encoding through Compressor. I've read a lot of forums that say that Compressor is bad with this kind of encoding.
I've also read that a software encoder called Cinemacraft would fix this problem, but it costs $1000 and I'm trying to figure out a way NOT to have to buy it. And even if I buy it, I'm not sure how to use it and where to put all the settings.
That is what I need help with. I don't need the authoring done for me, I want someone to walk me through the process, teach me and recommend the software I need to make it work.
