Each month a report is produced (see Report tab) detailing employees, their hours worked by project, hourly rate (which is based on an 8hr day, 40 hour work week) and some other details. We need a simple macro that will convert the output file to calculate the project cost allocation.
This where it gets tricky because the hourly rate shown on the report can and cannot be the actual rate employees are paid. For salaried EE's this is their rate based on a 40 hour work week, and calculating the project allocation is not simply their rate x's hours worked. For hourly EE's project allocations are simply a function of their rate x's the number of hours applied to each project. See the What We'd Like tab to show the types of EE's.
The project cost allocation for Salaried EE's is a function of the time applied against a project as a % of total time worked, multiplied by the actuall cost of the employee for the time period.
