Determine design feasibility of a turbo-alternator that can be attached (clamped and/or bolted-on) to the compressor end of any turbocharger. Specifically I want to know if it is feasible to remove the nut from the compressor wheel drive shaft and attach another shaft end (effectively extending the turbocharger compressor end shaft by attaching to the threaded shaft) so that a turbo-alternator can be attached and driven by the turbocharger. Is it feasible to drive a custom designed bolt-on turbo-alternator which will extended off the end of the original turbocharger without having to produce and replace the turbocharger shaft with a longer shaft to accomplish the addition of a turbo-alternator?
