I want to add a second story to my building and I need to know:
1) based on existing structure what loading can it support and what uses this loading allows under the existing building code.
2) If step one allows for a second story then I need to know: All loads for the shingled truss roof will be transferred to the existing posts with no added roof load to the beams and joists. What size posts would I need given the floor loading plus the roof and snow loads
3) If a second story is feasible but beams need to be strengthened -identify which beams and what size of steel plates would need to be bolted to the sides.
Can you provide a price for the calculation.

This is not a big job. I just want confirmation of my own calc that I did in two hours. Given the hourly rates this whole job should be no more than $50. The beam sizes are given along with the span. the joist sizes are given with the span. The question...
