We are looking for a firm or freelance individuals to complete some work (as described below) for patent filings in Canada, Taiwan, and Hong Kong. These are our initial requirements however we are also looking to establish a long-term relationship for foreign filings on various patent applications, with the next application expected to be ready in approx. 3 months.

We prefer to work with a local (US) patent firm for the initial drafting of the patents and to submit the initial filing in the US, but we wish to work through a freelance or offshore patent firm/person (not necessarily an attorney) for the subsequent international filings to reduce our total IP costs.

Our company designs and builds industrial (material handling) machinery and so we prefer patent attorneys/writers that have experience in mechanical utility filings, preferably with a mechanical engineering background.
