On our network we run a FreePBX system that sits behind a linux box running debian as a firewall. This is a setup that I did not create, and have inherited.
The issue is that the fiber provider (ISP) required that we change our IP addresses. All other linux routers that we are using had smooth changes and everything works.
However, on this particular firewall, it will not allow me to connect to the internet and I am not sure why. The difference with this firewall as opposed to the others is that the interface settings are loaded from a script at boot instead of in /etc/network/interfaces
I need someone to help me get this running immediately with the new IP address.
I have attempted to have the network settings load through the interfaces file, but that wouldn't work.
