I have a Dell Inspiron 1420 with Windows Vista. On Thursday, I was working on my computer when suddenly I got a popup that read, "Windows Explorer Has Stopped Working. Windows is checking for a solution..." I've seen this error message before, and thought nothing of it. But once Windows Explorer came back, the same message popped up again. I restarted my computer, and upon restart, the same message popped up. I cannot do anything because of this error.
I'm a web developer, so I'm pretty good with computers, and I've tried a bunch of different suggestions I found online in the past two days to get this fixed. System Restore did not work. The only disc I can find is the Reinstallation DVD.
I really need these popups to go away. I don't want to wipe my harddrive clean, as I have some important files still on there. If someone can walk me through how to fix this problem, I would be very appreciative.
Please let me know if you have any additional questions. Thanks for your interest....
