The backend is already done. And the iOS client about 60% through (although noobish Objective C, it is very readable and makes sense).

The client holds the screen to record a video (already implemented), then 3 http calls happen.
1) To ask for permission to upload
2) Upload the video
3) Confirm that video was uploaded

So far I was able to record a video (but I was having a pain playing with Cocoa's AVPlayer to reproduce the video I just captured and confirm that it was in fact recorded,

There is further work to be done (videos can be uploaded to channels, but this is not part of this task,)

The problem is actually in capturing the video. Uploading is problematic as well.
iOS does not provide with high level implementations of these, so it's pain.
Help from an expert would be appreciated.
