I'm dealing with U-verse with multiple static IP addresses.
I have a CentOS 6.3 iptables dedicated system that should allow reasonable firewalling to some web server on an internal network. For some reason it works, but is iinnccrreeddiibbllyy slow. See attachment.

See attachment 2, its another variant for iptables that also works, but packets are vveerryy ssllooww. Please understand, I have an iptables config that works. I need assistance understanding/fixing why it is so slow.
When I hack using ssh port forwarding of port 80 using -G to internal 10.10.10.89 speed is fine. So it seems something about iptables is very slow, or the config needs to optimized more? I'd rather not fall back to a hardware firewall for reasonable speed. Note, some of the machines on the network are ESX vm's.
