ITRP is a cloud-based software application (see [obscured] ). The application needs to be translated from English to French primarily for the French, Canadian, Belgium and Swiss markets.
Here are the details of this job:
1). We have an on-line translator interface available for the maintenance of translations (see screenshot of Dutch example).
2). In total there are about 10,000 words to be translated in almost 2,000 separate strings.
3). Some strings contain variables. These variables are clearly marked and should not be translated.
4). It is important that this is a French (France) translation; not a French (Canada) translation.
5). Some terms a tricky (e.g. “service level agreement”, or “incident” vs “problem”). It is important that they are translated in a consistent fashion. To help with that, there is an official Glossary of French terms that the translator can use. This is a PDF document that we shall provide.
