i had a one year rental lease that ended in march 2012. i received an email from the landlord asking if i wanted another year. i stated that i did and she said that was fabulous. the house is not on the real estate market. last month i got a text stating that a realtor needed to show the house. i was shocked. the house was shown last week and today i get notice to leave. i had told the realtor that i needed two months to vacate because i work out of my home as a consultant and i have a critical project with a state agency due first of august and i won't be back in town until mid-august and thought i could be out then. they don't know it, but i have already signed a lease for another property. the landlord's current husband is an attorney and he is being a jerk. my question is if there was an implied contract via agreement in the email or is it purely a month-to-month basis even though it was not communicated i took the email exchange as an agreement. this house is in arkans...
