We need a 1D photodiode array system with following features;
Array should be ~ 100-150mm long and <50mm wide (Standard Array if possible)
Array should be multiplexed with fast integration time
Output of array to signal processor
0-5V Analog Output from an embedded controller should output the number of individual photodiodes in the array that are "turned on" from a level we preset from an analog input.
Example: If we use a ~1024 pixel array, and 256 are "turned on" from our IR source, the controller will output ~1.25VDC
Also, if any of the Photodiodes are "turned on" above a preset analog input, that detector or detectors will be ignored when calculating the overall values and will then be based on smaller number of sensors
We may als incorporste a teach function and then output based on the taught in value and the read value.
System needs to acquire fast reads in the few ms range.
