I have a PBX IN A Flash (freepbx) voip box that has data to be migrated to new hardware: two rack-mount 1u servers which will be heartbeat linux cloned to an identical box. They have dual NICs (network adaptors) so in theory a crossover cable can be connected between them on the second network port. The tricky part is in the cloning of the linux databases. The end result is if one server should go down or a service fail, it will automaticaly switch to the other server and send an email notification, preserving continuity. Each server has 3 hard drives: two for raid and one spare (IBM 73.4GB SCSI ultra320). I assume we will need a un-formated section of disk (not the /) to be there for DRBD to do replication. I will need a walk-through (via skype etc.) on how to properly install and format the drives and get the servers online. The rest can be done remotely.
