I need a low power circuit designed with a PCB laid out in Eagle, including a BOM.
The device will include a microphone, an opamp, and a PIC microcontroller. Typically the device remains in sleep mode where it draws very little power from a battery. If the microphone hears a loud sound, louder than a programmable threshold, it will wake from sleep mode and begin averaging the amplitudes over 0.25 seconds and saving each average with a timestamp to non-volatile memory. After one minute the device will go back to sleep. The real time clock time needs to be set by USB, and there needs to be a way to get the data off of the device by USB. It's okay if the data is dumped into HyperTerminal, no need to develop a GUI at this time. It is very important to design the hardware to consume very little power. The device must run at least 3 months in sleep mode on one battery. I prefer to run the system off of a single 3V lithium coin cell battery, but I have not done any calculations y...
