We would like to replace the standard "paperclip" file attachment feature in our CRM 4.0 entity forms with integration to Sharepoint document libraries.
Specifically, we would like to do the following:-
1. Add a "Documents" NavBar item to each entity form, which will give the user access to a document library that will allow them to add, checkout, edit, view and delete documents associated to that entity.
2. Hide the standard CRM "paperclip" button, so that users will instead use the "Documents" tab to manage attachments.
3. Design a site/document library structure within Sharepoint Foundation 2010 that will be suitable for this integration. This design should be sympathetic to a future upgrade to CRM 2011, where Sharepoint integration is built in.
4. Transfer all existing document attachments, stored against CRM records, into the Sharepoint document libraries.
