We need to be able to use a Video Capture card (Datapath VisionRGB-E2s) within a Panda3D Python script to apply a real-time captured video onto a geometry as a texture.
The SDK for the capture card can be found at [obscured] /support/downloads/item/86-Vision-application-and-driver (the vision610.zip file)
This SDK is designed for C++ use. We need to essentially use the SDK to create a system to send the live video stream into Panda3D as a long integer, using the Panda3D Pointer Textures feature. More info about doing this can be found at [obscured] /blog/?p=96
In summary, the resulting software you are to develop is to capture live video using the Datapath Vision C++ SDK, and make it available in Panda3D to be called via a Python script.
The software must be compiled for use on Windows 7, 64-bit, with Panda3D 1.7.2. Integration between your C++ code and the Panda3D function can be integrated with something like Swig or the C Python API.
