I would like this library ported to iOS and the code contributed back to the project: https://github.com/pornel/pngquant/ This library compresses PNGs by converting from 24/32 bit to 8 bit color palette. My need for the library is that I want a lossless compression of an image so the file size is smaller to send from the phone to a server. The loss of color range is okay, but I cannot use a lossy format like JPG. I have not found another library to do this so I am concerned that others have tried and failed. By failure I mean that the code takes too long to run or uses too much memory. I need this to work on images are large as the device will take. This is a well defined project so I marked it as fixed price. To make the project have a well defined test case, here is what I am thinking: We would provide a Titanium based application that a) takes a picture, b) converts it to 32bit-png, and c) emails the photo. You would modify the app to convert to 8bit-png.

To make the project have a well defined test case, here is what I am thinking:

We would provide a Titanium based application that
