We'd like to use power over ethernet to run some LED lights. We have a specific model of LED light I'd like to modify. The board that currently accomplishes AC to DC conversion and dimming capability will be removed and replaced with a power over ethernet capable board. The finished deliverable is a set of gerber files and circuit BOM for a board capable of running the LED light.
The circuit will need to use a commercially available LED controller IC (examples: AP8801SG-13; LM3402HVMM/NOPB; MAX16822BASA+)
The circuit will need to be 100% 802.3 af compliant.
The circuit could achieve POE handshaking either through the use of discrete components (as seen here: [obscured] /design/power-management-design/4012066/Simple-circuit-design-tutorial-for-PoE-applications) or through the use of a POE powered device IC (such as LM5071).
The circuit will provide 440mA @ ~ 20VDC to the LED fixture.
The circuit will need to be contained on a circular board 2-1/8" in diameter. The ethe...
