I am looking for a way to synthesize MIDI into WAV or PCM with Sound Fonts for instruments using pure Python (2.X line), meaning without bindings or calls to external libraries. It needs to be able to run on a protected, sandboxed environment like Google App Engine ( [obscured] /appengine/) - in fact, if it can run on Google App Engine then it is sufficiently "pure" Python for my purposes. Note that this has some interesting side effects as standard library imports such as "audioop" will fail (however, "wave" will not).
