I have a client that was duped by a real estate broker into short selling his home to a 3rd party with the promise that he'd be able to buy it back in the future. Not only did he go along with all of it but he was defrauded out of $25k in the process. Last year broker completed a short sale to a 3rd party who is apparently just a straw buyer. Recently, broker, through the straw buyer, sold the property at a 50% profit to another individual. They are now threatening to evict my clients. Client doesn't want to keep the home but wants to be made whole and get damages. Client's wife had a documented miscarriage after they found out about the fraud.

Long Version:
H&W homeowners hired broker ato help them with a modification of their mortgage in 2009. 3 months and $3k in fees later, broker said they were denied for a modification and suggested they short sale the property.
