We are investigating the experience that Chinese travellers have of indigenous tourism in Australia. The things we are interested in are:
1. Are they interested in experiencing indigenous (aboriginal) tourism when they are planning a trip to Australia. For example, going to Uluru (Ayres Rock), Kata Tjuta (The Olgas) or the Northern Territory?
2. If they have experienced it, what did they think? What did they like, what did they dislike? What advice would they give to other travellers going there?
We would like to start the project with an analysis of travel blogs in China on Chinese social networks or billboards relating to this topic.
The first stage of this job is to spend 10 hours researching blogs and translating the blogs into English, for us to be able to get a feeling for what Chinese travellers think of indigenous tourism in Australia. The blogs would be specifically from people who have travelled to Australia and been to Uluru (Ayres Rock) in the Northern Territory.
