We are looking for a queue manager system (QMS) to be created as a daemon that is capable of being run on a standard or cloud linux server. It should be capable of handling multiple queues, each with their own priority command and be as lightweight as possible. At the same time, the QMS should be able to keep track of all data and report various statistics (no of live queues, no of current messages waiting in a specific queue, time take from queuing to completion etc..) when ever requested. We would welcome thoughts on security from the winning bidder.
For speed and quickness, the QMS should be written in the Java Scala language and be accompanied by fully documented code. Ideally messages in the queue should be held in memory, and also written to disk to avoid losing data in the event of a system crash.
The daemon would be required to keep track of certain information for every message processed, and be able to retrieve that information if required at any point in the future...
