My software product has been around for many years and was not commercially successful. However, it received great testimonials from some customers, for whom it literally saved the day. Working with a marketing consultant, we broadly identified those groups and gave the product a different name - "Marketing CRM" - because of its unique capability to combine both marketing and CRM functionality.
We are now looking to re-launch the software with a new site and a new version.
However, this is where my view started to differ from my marketing consultant; she insists on perfect form, including that of the software, whereas I want to focus on function and ease of use.
I can't compete with all other CRMs out there on software looks for technical and financial reasons, but my software easily does what they can't do at all, and what is desired by, I believe, many direct marketing clients.
