Need some quick research over the weekend, what do big companies like Boeing, Deutsche Connectors, Amphenol, Tyco Electronics, ITT Cannon and others typically pay to get their components from Asia. What would be the margin that it typically costs them? When they are planning to send work overseas what percentage do they mark up the price to account for the shipping costs, delays, quality issues, returns etc...
These would be small lightweight metal components in high volume.
Document the work and prepare report with key highlights quoted, for example a high level sourcing employee(manager, expert) with past experience giving his opinion on the planning, costs and execution of sourcing from asia to Los Angeles.
Please provide several examples and extrapolate a range of cost by percentage based on things going smoothly, so so and badly.
Need this done by Tuesday morning, January 18th.
