After being promised an award of $15k for doing some contract work for a former client in early 2011, there was a dispute, and a year of collection efforts that followed. I have settled the dispute on my own, but before the client pays, he would like assurance that I will leave him alone and not sue him after he pays. He would like this in the form a document with sufficient "legal-ese".
I am seeking either a lawyer or law professional capable of drawing up said document. It needn't be iron-clad, just something reassuring and somewhat official-sounding. We're probably talking 2-3 paragraphs at most. (However, I am open to your expertise.)
Please let me know your hourly rate and approximate # of hours and if there's anything I can further clarify. The former client and I are both located in California.
I'd prefer to award the job to someone who can start ASAP (as opposed to waiting the full 7 days). We'll see how the bidding goes though.
