I need a Silverlight 3.0 line-of-business intranet-based application written to assist a welfare services business track customers and the assistance they give to their customers.
Currently they use an Access database, but this will slowly be phased out, beginning with this initial step of the project to replace the four data entry pages with a Silverlight application. The existing reports and management of the "lookup" lists etc will remain in Access for the time-being so it is important that the Silverlight application can share the same database.
The Access database has already been upsized to MS SQL and a database script for SQL Server 2008 will be provided – which includes lookup and sample data to assist in the development of the application.
The Customer Assistance application will be run entirely on an intranet and will not require users to log in (at this time), but will need to ensure that the current user is logged on to the domain before executing.
