We are looking for someone to write software for Microchip PIC16F1829 based sensor. It is a small circuit board with PIC16F1829 microcontroller that connects to the following:
- I2C based sensor (via I2C interface, pin 8&10)
- Serial transceiver for RS-232 or RS-485 port (via serial port interface, pin 2&3)
The software main function is to read data from the sensor registers via I2C, format, and make them available to a remote machine via direct RS-232 connection or multi-point RS-485 via user-commands. Data will be presented in a 256-byte packet with device ID and CRC checksum.
Software also needs to support device configuration commands; such as set device ID, read device ID, and device reset (for remote reboot).
Deliverables include source code in C and some documentation for it.
We will provide a hardware prototype and any PIC development kit you require. Detailed specifications are available upon request.
