I have a product idea and have had a Patent Illustrator create the drawings for an upcoming patent filing. The patent should be filed in the next several weeks.
In the meantime, I am interested in having a potential "rapid prototype" done of the product.
Specifically, I need CAD drawings (preferably done in Solidworks) that when completed can be saved in a STL format for a "rapid prototype" manufacture to then use to make a simple plastic markup.
The above is my understanding of the proper sequencing of events.
While I am familiar with patents, I am not familiar with CAD, Solidworks or the STL format. So any suggestions or corrections is welcome.
I'd like to start in the coming days and be completed with the CAD drawings in the next several weeks.
