Imagine a solid 2 mm thick optical plastic fiber cable.
I need a way of making this cable into an adjustable spiral shape.

Assume we have a pipe of diameter 2 inches. I want to wrap the 2 mm fiber cable around this pipe and somehow hold its shape.

The closest thing I can describe to this is a bracelet (like the shape of a snake) woman put a few turns around their wrists. The wrist size does not matter since the bracelet is flexible and will bend a few turns around different wrist sizes.

I find plastic optical fibers very hard to work with since they will not hold their shape. They have a tendency to flex out and stay straight. But I think a mechanical gadget can be designed to give the desired spiral effect.

I require the design and a building prototype.
Would need an NDA to disclose more with potential candidates.
