I would like to develop a device, prefferrably to be retrofit to existing strollers (baby prams), which is to act as a "dead-man-switch" or fail-safe mechanism.
The product would require a sensor to be mounted on the handle of the stroller (pressure sensitive) and a sensor to be mounted on the wheel which also acts as a braking mechanism on the wheel. If the handle has not been pressed for a predetermined period (say 2 seconds) AND the wheel is detected to move, the brake should be applied and an audible alarm sounded..
I will also need research done on the most suitable mounting methods to provide the greatest ability to retro-fit to existing designs.

Based on the feedback I’ve had, and the common theme of the questioning, further clarification of my requirements is required..
My suggestion (or informal requirement) was to use a time delayed lock only when the stroller moves when not pressed (or pushed) ...
