Require engineer/designer with very good knowledge of the electrical characteristics of the IF signals and DC control voltages between a TV satellite tuner and an antenna LNB.
You would need to be very familar with high frequency (GHz) signal work and also DC-DC booster circuits. You would have a good knowledge of maintaining circuit impedence via PCB traces and also dealing with the high frequencies on the PCB. EMI/ESD would need to be considered.
Require a circuit design and PCB layout which will boost the horizontal & vertical switching DC voltages from a satellite tuner to the antenna LNB and also pass the IF signal from the LNB to the tuner.
The circuit should:
- Check if the input voltage is in the range 9.5~12.0VDC, then boost it to 13VDC
- Check if the input voltage is in the range 13.5~16.5VDC, then boost it to 18VDC.
The tuners have a max output capability of 300mA (which powers the LNB) and power for your design should be drawn from the tuner, if possible.
