A camera system has three components: 1. USB camera, 2. Li-poly battery, 3. Four parallel connected LEDs. A circuit board is needed to charge the battery from the 5V pin of the camera and manage power from the battery to the LEDs when those are flashed. The 2.8V strobe/flash signal of the camera tells the LEDs when to flash. A small potentiometer would adjust the amount of current the LEDs are getting. The LEDs would take about 2.5V and 600mA current for fairly brief periods (about 20-40msec only). A battery level indicator would also be nice, but might do without. However, constant current and voltage to the LEDs regardless of the battery level is important. Emphasis would be on as small and inexpensive parts as possible.
