I'm a Japanese native residing in the main land U.S. since last year.
My first degree was a B.A. in English from JapanĀ?s best school in the field. I, then, joined an international financial group and gained experience as an in-house translator/interpreter primarily catering to non-Japanese managers and executives. Following the global financial crisis in 2008, I left the Dutch company to join a Japanese insurance giant which was in preparation for an IPO and needed a bilingual interface with non-Japanese institutional investors. My duties then were centered around legal documentation, statutory disclosures and financial presentations, as well as programs for international trainees.
My other professional translation experiences include machinery, industrial software, and marketing analytics.
