After receiving a B.A. degree in English Composition from Barnard College in 1969, I began work as a medical editor and later was promoted to Manager of the Editorial Department at the W.B. Saunders Company in Philadelphia. I have since continued to work in this field and most recently was employed full time as a manuscript editor at the New England Journal of Medicine in Boston. I have edited hundreds of medical and scientific textbooks and journal articles and related materials (e.g., slide programs, white papers, doctoral theses, conference transcripts, and biographies of accomplished surgeons and physicians).

I have my PhD in English, and I taught College Writing (along with other various college English courses) for five years.
I bring 13 years of experience editing a huge variety of things. This includes copy editing two academic books that were published by prestigious presses: Dr. Nancy K. Miller?s But Enough About Me (Columbia University Press, 2002) and Dr. Jon M. Wolseth?s Life on the Malec?n (Rutgers University Press, 2013).
I have also edited web content, dissertations, articles, and countless business documents, including letters, RFPs, proposals, contracts, advertising materials, and much more.
In addition to being a meticulous yet efficient editor, I am a voracious reader. The practice of reading well-written works of all kinds fosters an intimate familiarity with the rhythms and nuances of language which only enhances my skills as an editor. I love reading, I love editing, and I thoroughly enjoy putting my skills to use here.

I love what I do. I am interested in all types of writing assignments that provide me an opportunity to get your message across properly.
I've written for Yale University, a Los Angeles record company, a Connecticut hospital and several non-profits. I am extremely conscientious about deadlines and I always go above and beyond to satisfy my clients. I have also written four books (two fiction, two non-fiction).
