After receiving my PhD, I have worked and consulted in academia and private sector and have had the opportunity to serve such clients as the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, TIAA-CREF, Citibank, and Pfizer. My research has been published in many first-rate, peer-reviewed journals such as the Lancet. Witnessing the success of these endeavors, I started Pen And Nay LLC to make my expertise in research methodology and statistical analysis available to a wider range of clients.

As Chief Programmer for the NYC Mayor┬?s Office of Data Analytics under Mayor Michael Bloomberg, I wrote an original 911 data integration algorithm to allow NYC to be the first major city in the US to report on the entirety of a 911 transaction. I then translated the algorithm into the City┬?s permanent reporting systems and presented results to Fire and Police Commissioners and senior City agency leaders, including Mayor Bloomberg himself and his Deputy Mayor of Operations. I have an undergraduate degree from Stanford University and a computer engineering Master┬?s degree from Cornell University. My work was featured in Wired Magazine (December 2013). Looking forward to delivering outstanding results for high-quality clients.

After a long, successful career at IBM, I accepted a buy-out package as part of another resource action. At IBM I was the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for IBM┬?s worldwide DB2 relational databases and SQL for accounting.
My responsibilities included maintaining the accurate data flow from all IBM country ledgers to the DB2 environments, as well as teaching SQL to IBM┬?s worldwide accounting and finance staffs, enabling them to retrieve data in a more timely and efficient manner. IBM invented DB2 relational databases and SQL, and for many years I was their expert and ┬?go to guy.┬?
My present goal is to continue sharing my vast knowledge and experience as a member of your IT team, as a part time, contractor, or volunteer worker. Please call me at -- if you need more information about my background and how I might assist your organization.
