Mac OS X application written in Swift
eDoc LLC provides document management software solutions to our customers. We currently have multiple editions of our software available for our customers on the Microsoft Windows platform. Details at http://www.eDocOrganizer.com
Last year, we introduced a cloud version of our solution. We offer customer various desktop and mobile clients to access the cloud service. The main client is a Windows Desktop application that we have written based on our years of experience creating other windows based editions of our software. Now we are increasingly hearing from our Cloud customers that they would like us to provide a similar Mac Desktop application as well.
Our in-house development team consists of mainly windows developers. So we are looking to outsource the development of the Mac client to someone with expertise in this area. The team already started on a Mac client written with XCode 6 and swift, but progress has been slow because of our lack of experience in this arena.
I am attaching screenshots of the Windows client and the existing code we have working for the Mac client so you can get an idea of where the Mac client is currently and where it needs to go.
Most of the heavy lifting for the document management application (Search indexing, OCR, etc.) is done by the cloud backend. The clients just talk to the back end using a REST API. We know that the API is adequate cause the windows client uses it to accomplish all its tasks as well.
A majority of the work is related to creating the UI and gathering information from the user. Some of the advanced features that the client will need to provide are as follows: Drag and Drop, Scanning using a scanner, Printing and integration with the Mail app.
Please let me know if you have any other questions about the project.
