3D Dynamics-driven Machine in Maya
This is an urgent project, as I need it completed by 4/9/2014 at 6pm.
What I need is a fairly simple Rube Goldberg-style machine (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rube_Goldberg_machine) done with dynamics in Maya. Here are the guidelines:
1) In Maya, design and create a machine using at least 3 dynamics-based "gags". You may have as many gags as you like, but at least 3 of them have to be dynamics-driven (no keyframes on those). Any other gags may have keyframes, and you can keyframe certain attributes (like "wind" turning on when a fan is powered up, etc).
A "gag" just means an event. For example, a series of dominoes knocking each other over could be considered a gag (although probably the most obvious and boring one!). A marble spinning down a spiral, then landing on a trampoline could be a "gag," etc.
2) The machine should have a purpose. It can be totally irreverent or silly but must do SOMETHING at the end.
3) Use at least 2 DIFFERENT constraints (springs, pin, nail, etc.) in interesting ways. Also use at least 1 more field than just gravity (such as Air for a fan or turbulence or even vortex).
The style of the machine and what it contains is up to you. The models do not have to be super-detailed or even textured. It is the animation that is important here!
The final deliverable is the completed Maya file. Please note that this MUST be completed in Maya, as we are using Maya-based dynamics.
EDIT: You can use the Maya models I already have as a jump start, if you wish. See the image attached. First part is supposed to be a candle melting a piece of ice until the ball drops down. You do not need to fully animate the flame or the ice melting.
