Negotiation of terms and conditions for hiring a CEO
I am about to hire a CEO and I need help to understand what are the standard terms and conditions that are applicable for hiring a CEO of a start up.
The CEO duty is to essentially raise finance and we think that we should be able to do that within 6 months.
There are some negotiations going on and frankly I am not knowledgeable
There is a consultant that was working with us who now wants to become the CEO of the company.
I am looking for a HR consultant, who has been there and who can help me, negotiate the terms and conditions that I should propose to this prospective CEO (grant of shares, options, salaries,...). And also more importantly to ensure that his interests are aligned with ours.
