Feature update for the custom network management system
NGNMS application was developed in the time-frame 2002-2004 for automation of network audit task, discovery and inventory of network devices, fault analysis and event processing. At this time the telnet protocol was chosen as a default method for communication with devices - routers and switches from Juniper Networks and Cisco Systems.
In modern service provider networks telnet protocol is rarely used today. It was almost completely replaced by a secure shell - SSH version 1 or version 2. This change requires a an update to the NGNMS Perl 5 scripts.
Short listed contractors will get access to the full technical specifications after pre-approval.
