President and Chief Executive Officer
Fabio has overall responsibility for Elance's strategy and operations. Elance, the world's leading platform for online employment, helps businesses hire skilled workers on a project or hourly basis and provides the tools to manage work online instead of onsite.
Fabio has 20 years of experience in the services and technology sectors. Prior to Elance, Fabio was the global leader of the Strategic Consulting practice at Capgemini and the Chief Operating Officer of Gemini Consulting, Inc. During his tenure at Gemini Consulting, he was also the Chief Executive Officer of the company's Italian subsidiary.
Fabio holds a BSBA from Georgetown University.
Vice President, Sales
Daniel leads the sales organization at Elance, driving the company's expansion in the mid-size and enterprise markets.
Prior to joining Elance, Daniel held senior sales leadership roles at Linkedin and Google, both in the US and internationally. Having lived as an ex-pat most of his life, Daniel is passionate about Elance's mission of creating a workplace for the world, and thus creating economic opportunity at scale for millions of freelancers worldwide.
Daniel holds a Bachelor in Economic Sciences from the Universite Libre de Bruxelles and a BBA in Business Administration from the International Management Institute of Brussels, Belgium.
Vice President and General Counsel
Michael is responsible for Legal Affairs at Elance.
Michael has held roles in finance, corporate development, administration and legal at Vocera, Brigade and The Park Group and is a board member of Aesec. Michael was a founding member of Aesec, Legal OnRamp and The Park Group. Earlier in his career Michael was a corporate attorney at LeBouef, Lamb, Greene & MacRae in New York and Mori Sogo in Tokyo.
Michael holds a JD from Harvard Law School and a BA in Economics and Public Affairs from Princeton University.
Vice President, Enterprise Solutions
Jonathan leads the Elance enterprise solutions team, driving enterprise customer success and enabling workforce innovation for medium and large businesses.
During his tenure at Elance Jonathan has become a talent supply management expert and was instrumental in the development of the first generation Elance Services Procurement and Management platform now owned by IBM. Prior to joining Elance, Jonathan held management positions at BlueStar Solutions and Arthur Andersen, where he was responsible for developing and deploying Ariba solutions.
Jonathan holds an MBA, MIS and BS in Biology from the University of Arizona.
Vice President, Talent & Workplace
Sonia is responsible for making Elance an awesome and rewarding place to work. This includes hiring the team who helps make it possible.
Since 2008, Sonia has led the company’s human resources functions, including staffing, compensation, benefits and leadership development. Prior to joining Elance, Sonia held dual roles in recruiting and global employment programs at Synopsys, a world leader in electronic design automation.
In addition to several HR and recruiting certifications, Sonia holds a BS in Finance and Marketing from the University of Nevada, Reno.
Kjetil J. Olsen
Vice President, Europe
As Vice President of Europe, Kjetil has the strategic and operational responsibility for growing Elance’s footprint in the European market.
Prior to joining Elance, Kjetil was a Group Director at StepStone, Europe’s largest job board. Kjetil joined Stepstone from the acquisition of Scandinavian e-recruitment platform EasyCruit, a company he founded and one of Europe’s leading e-recruitment platforms.
Kjetil holds an MSc in Business and Economics from BI Norwegian Business School (Handelshøyskolen BI).
Chief Marketing Officer
Rich leads Elance's global marketing team, including customer acquisition, product marketing, public relations and brand development.
Prior to joining Elance, Rich led marketing and business development at Posterous through its acquisition by Twitter and previously held senior marketing positions at Yahoo!, Attributor, Homestead, Segasoft and Del Monte Foods.
Rich holds an MBA from the Haas School of Business and a BS in Marketing and Finance from UC Berkeley.
Vice President, Product
York leads the product team, from product strategy to user interaction design and product management. York is fanatical about user experience and spends most of his time working with Elance users and the product development and engineering teams.
Prior to joining Elance, York was a product manager at Navio Systems and at Oracle, where he managed the e-marketplace product line and led the launch of Oracle Procurement Contract. York started his career as a management consultant at Deloitte Consulting. York is also a Certified Public Accountant.
York holds an MBA from the University of Illinois and a BS in Computer Information Systems from Indiana University.
Vice President, Category Management
Ved is responsible for launching and growing the categories of service available on the Elance platform. Prior to this role, Ved built and led the Product Management team and the Online Marketing team. Ved joined Elance at the company's inception.
Prior to Elance, Ved was a consultant with Booz Allen Hamilton. Ved began his career at Oracle, where he led technical pre-sales for an Oracle business unit and developed software applications for Oracle clients.
Ved holds an MBA from the University of Chicago and a BA in Computer Science (along with a second major in Philosophy) from Wesleyan University in Connecticut.
Chief Financial Officer
Servaes leads the Finance, Legal, People and Analytics teams at Elance.
Servaes joined Elance from eBay, the world’s largest online marketplace, where he spent over seven years in various financial and analytical roles in Europe and the US, most recently as CFO of eBay North America. Prior to eBay, Servaes worked in the Netherlands managing a Charity Lottery, and spent seven years at McKinsey & Company as strategy consultant.
Servaes holds an MSc in Applied Physics from the Delft University of Technology and an MBA from INSEAD.
Vice President, Strategic Accounts
Bob is responsible for introducing Elance to large enterprises and for developing high-impact, strategic client relationships. Bob brings to Elance an exceptional track record of introducing emerging technologies to the enterprise market, having done so at Bloom Energy, Netscape, Next and Epiphany.
Bob holds a BBA in Marketing from Georgia State University.
Vice President, Operations
Elizabeth is responsible for Marketplace, Customer and Global Payment Operations at Elance.
Prior to joining Elance, Elizabeth was the Chief Operating Officer for Samasource, a non-profit that provides online work to women and youth in Africa and South Asia. Previously Elizabeth was VP of Global Billing, Payments and Collections at eBay and held senior positions at Zuora and Providian Financial (now JP Morgan Chase).
Elizabeth holds an MBA from Cornell University and a BA in Psychology from Yale University.
