I would like to build a large database of social enterprises for some academic research I am doing. Social enterprises (SEs) are for-profit businesses with a social mission. In the UK they can also be registered as Community Interest Corporations (CICs) and in the US as for-benefit corporations (B-Corps) or L3C, similar to an LLC but with some tax advantages. The job is this: create an excel database of as many SEs as possible, by going though the web to find the names, contact information and any other details possible. I require at least 5,000 entries. The lists can easily be found, but the organizations that compile the lists will not share the details for fear of having their members solicited. So we have to do this the hard way. Just the put the requirements in context.. I needed to set-up a mailchimp campaign and it took me days to set it up.
