Our business is mostly dealing with test instrumentation for ballistics testing. Although I have a good base knowledge of the physics of the blast caused by open air explosive testing and shock tubes i would like to spend some time with an expert to discuss and ensure that I have things correct in my head. I am looking for: 1) someone in UK as it would have to be face to face i think 2) someone with a good knowledge of how pressure and shock waves are formed during both open air tests and shock tube testing 3) Most importantly, someone who knows this and can explain to me, no phd, have the patience for the questions a non expert will ask 4) I am particular interested in the pressures formed and the interaction of the pressure caused by something similar to a "vortex cannon". what is the max pressure that can be generated, what is the relationship between the pressure, the ignition source, the speed the pressure travels, what are the pressure drops over distance etc. I hope ...
